Frequently Asked Questions

FedTrax (https://fedtrax.com) brings experienced business development in the Federal and commercial marketplaces, as well as a deep background in technology goods and services. This provides clients with keen insights on transitioning commercial products/services to the Federal space and in developing their Unique Value Proposition (UVP) for getting their innovative solutions noticed, aligned with mission needs, and specified in targeted Government acquisitions. FedTrax serves several non-competing firms with similar interests and targets. This shared-use approach provides clients with a much more affordable business development strategy than hiring full-time "rainmakers."
Yes. FedTrax focus is on innovation as a means to generate new opportunities that your company hasn't seen before. That said, services and the way they're delivered can be incredibly innovative. You don't have to be a software product company to deliver unique solutions that solve Government problems. If you are a Systems Integrator deploying a COTS product in a valuable way or have a better and different way of delivering services, you have value to the Federal market. FedTrax will work with you to hone that message and exploit if for new sales.
The focus of the business is the Federal Government. However, many technology clients serve both the public and private sectors. Depending upon the situation, FedTrax may represent clients in the Federal market and the commercial space in given verticals (healthcare, utilities, etc.) or the middle Atlantic geographic region.
Yes. The professional services retainer model isn't for everyone. FedTrax offers stand-alone consulting and technology sales support offerings for: (1) Go to Market strategy, (2) Developing company Unique Value Proposition(s) by agency target, (3) Sales Management, (4) Lead Generation, (5) Proposal Support, (6) Thought Leadership, (7) Sales Process definition, and (8) Trade Show/Event representation. These services are offered firm fixed price to align scope of work and client budget requirements.
Any service or activity that leads to more Sales is considered business development. Most often people associate business development with something new–new sales channels, new markets, new products. From our perspective, it equates to new opportunities in the Federal marketplace for your goods and services, in new or existing agency customers. FedTrax focuses on providing a competitive advantage for firms who don't yet have a good Federal message, and therefore may look a lot alike, with a specialty in emerging technology companies.
Like any consulting firm, when it comes to services, prices are scope dependent for individual projects and are outlined and agreed to in a written proposal which defines a contract. Services can be priced as a fixed price for discreet task services, or via monthly retainer for ongoing business development services. In some cases bonuses may be negotiated for contract awards. FedTrax will not consider equity share in exchange for services.
As taken from the FedTrax Terms of Service, FedTrax consulting services are warranted with a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE for any unused services that have not been delivered upon cancellation of a project. This applies to deposits, retainers, and future payments as outlined in the initial scope of work. If a service has been delivered and is not to your satisfaction as a client, your written notification to FedTrax will initiate a remediation process until that service meets with your absolute delight.
