Capture & Proposal Support

OPPORTUNITY SHAPING

Once an opportunity is into the pipeline, whether an organic creation or a public response requirement, the process of capture begins. That involves plenty of communication with any and all government stakeholders ranging from Program Managers to Technical Points of Contact to Contract Officers. During these communications, FedTrax will help to shape opportunity requirements in ways that provide clients with a competitive advantage. That may be consideration of a certain contract vehicle, business classification, security clearances, or technical advantages using a certain customer process, technology type, or other strength in the market. FedTrax will take the lead on shaping your Federal opportunities to inform the strategic decision to pursue them further and increase the chances of winning in a competitive market.

To make the best informed decisions on opportunity pursuit, price points, and competitive landscape, FedTrax will research past and similar contracts within the same Federal customer agency to determine a past incumbent prime contractor’s performance and history, things ofimportance to specific opportunity Federal buyers, budget tolerance and expectations, and the most likely bidders on re-compete contracts and new requirement postings. When considering competitive situations, evaluation of the known strengths and weaknesses of adversaries in agencies and as a whole are determined. FedTrax will also research, qualify and meet with potential partners where complementary capabilities are necessary to fully respond to Federal RFPs. This opportunity intelligence further informs major decisions governing a bidding company response.

The government loves your smart people and technological capabilities, to be sure, but they are also concerned with more things that play an equal role in a successful technology contract. FedTrax will review requirements, meet with key agency POCs (see Shaping section) and key staff at your company and assist or fully author proposal content, such as:
